Sallie-Splinter, Sallie's apartment.

"Home again, home again," Sallie intones when she unlocks her apartment door to let Splinter in when they arrive. There isn't much to Sallie's place, and it's certainly smaller than the suite that Splinter, Leo, and Mike share. It is all one central area, with the bedroom cordoned off with a latticework screen, the bathroom beyond that, the kitchen in the opposite corner from the entranceway, and the main sitting area consisting of a sofa, Sallie's recliner, a table and a vidscreen. A piano is on the agenda, but Sallie hasn't gotten there yet.

"Oh. I missed that part."

After a second: "No going for that, okay?"

When his hand drops there is a smirk playing about his lips.
"Not if I can help it no. Though...it is an interesting prospect. I, do not remember much of the country of my birth. My cage offered a limited view."

"I've traveled a lot more since comin' to Milliways - even in my own where and when. Traveling off-world legally is expensive at times. Most o' the time I never had a reason to that would support the cost.

"Now here, if I want to go anywhere I can wave Malcolm. Which I really should do more often - I do not harangue that boy nearly enough."

"Did you not see him yesterday?"

"...No. Should I've done?"

[mnr_splinter]

"He was here." Flatly. "I'll deal with him later."





"I talked to your son and you talked to mine."

"Did mine provide you with comforting insight?"

Stranger things have happened.

"He did. Almost always does, actually.

"We talked about -- all sorts o' stuff. Why he chose to go back to turtle-shape for a spell. Talked about you. How disorienting it is to go from one shape to another."

How petrified you were. Are, Sallie doesn't add.

"Mike is very easy for me to talk to."

"It is one of his many considerable talents," he says sincerely. "It always did amaze me that while Raphael excelled at bringing people into our lives, Michaelangelo was best at keeping them there."

"He has very good habits with folk," Sallie confirms.

"What did you and Malcolm talk on?"

"Horses, and how I apparently think too much."

[realmrsreynolds]

Not that Sallie's in silent fervent agreement on that one or anything.

"Glad he was helpful, in his way."

[mnr_splinter]

"He was indeed. Also, he let me feed his horse."

This is a THING which is IMPORTANT.

[realmrsreynolds]

"If you wanted to come visit Shadow, you could spend all day feedin' horses."

It's important for life, but not terribly interesting most of the time!

"They...are usually frightened of me."

And the feeling is somewhat mutual.

"Tequila wasn't. Reynolds horses know better."

[mnr_splinter]

"Perhaps they do," he says taking a sip from his water glass. "I think I would like to see Shadow."

If that's okay.

[realmrsreynolds]

Sallie's nodding to a question that wasn't asked. "It won't be nearly as eventful as seeing your home was."

If that's okay.

"Perhaps not to you, but as I have never been to a functioning farm it will be a new experience for me."

He's been to a broke down, non-working farm before. There's nothing quite like living the cliche of being a rat in a barn.

"You can pick all the flowers you want there, though!"

"Horses and flowers."

Color him suitably impressed.

[realmrsreynolds]

"Standard fare, o' course," Sallie retorts. "Land and sky and sometimes trees, too."

She hasn't mentioned that the fire is green though. He'll figure that out later.





"You aren't bothered? By the fact your boy checks in up here -- " pointing to her head, " -- now and then? I mean, I can keep him out when I think on it, but sometimes I don't focus like that."

Well...he had been about to take a drink from his glass of water.

"...I believe I will be doing my utmost level best to try not to think about that, if....if it is all the same the both of you."

"No, of course. But it's good to get the lay o' the land on things."
