Sallie-Splinter, Sallie's apartment.
[ooc: Continued from here.]
"Home again, home again," Sallie intones when she unlocks her apartment door to let Splinter in when they arrive. There isn't much to Sallie's place, and it's certainly smaller than the suite that Splinter, Leo, and Mike share. It is all one central area, with the bedroom cordoned off with a latticework screen, the bathroom beyond that, the kitchen in the opposite corner from the entranceway, and the main sitting area consisting of a sofa, Sallie's recliner, a table and a vidscreen. A piano is on the agenda, but Sallie hasn't gotten there yet.

"Have you...redecorated?"

Alien, blank, and yet full of possibility.
"Hmm? Oh A glass of water if it is no trouble."

Sallie heads to the kitchen, digging out a pair of glasses for water and returning to place them on the coffee table as an invitation to sit.
But they need a topic, really. Something slightly easier than -- everything.
"Have you given any thought to what you might do now? Travelin', things you couldn't before?"
no subject
"I have not, to be honest. I find myself easily overwhelmed with the options."

And if Sallie sits on the couch too instead of her chair - and closer - that's just a thing that happened.

Splinter pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Of course he did..."
no subject
She's getting the feeling that it is.

After a second: "No going for that, okay?"
no subject
"Not if I can help it no. Though...it is an interesting prospect. I, do not remember much of the country of my birth. My cage offered a limited view."
no subject
"Now here, if I want to go anywhere I can wave Malcolm. Which I really should do more often - I do not harangue that boy nearly enough."

Ut oh.

"I talked to your son and you talked to mine."
no subject
Stranger things have happened.

"We talked about -- all sorts o' stuff. Why he chose to go back to turtle-shape for a spell. Talked about you. How disorienting it is to go from one shape to another."
How petrified you were. Are, Sallie doesn't add.
"Mike is very easy for me to talk to."

"What did you and Malcolm talk on?"

"Glad he was helpful, in his way."

This is a THING which is IMPORTANT.
no subject
It's important for life, but not terribly interesting most of the time!
no subject
And the feeling is somewhat mutual.
